Q1
What are the features of IGUANA Active Surveillance System?
The features of IGUANA Active Surveillance System are as following:
- Automatic tracking of moving targets and capture clear video images
- 2 CCDs per module, one with a fixed lens to capture wide angle images, the other with 5~~50mm zoom lens to track moving targets automatically
- The image resolution is about 20 ~ 240 times better than that of the wide-angle camera
- Real-time Video Recording: NTSC (720 X 480) @ 30fps per Channel
- The surveillance area is 20 times bigger than traditional cameras, effective coverage area 75゚x 20 meter(about 300 meter square)all targets within the area can be identify field
- Functions: contains both wide angle and telescopic lenses,Active tracking, day and night vision, scheduled recording, image analysis, and priority (mask) setup
- The appearance of IGUANA: Durable Aluminum Enclosure、vibration and UV resistance、heat resistance、operation temperature (-20℃~60℃)
- User friendly interface for setup and operation. Easy and convenient maintenance.
Q2
Can IGUANA Active Surveillance System track multiple targets automatically?
Yes, our IGUANA Active Surveillance System can track many moving targets in heavy traffic or crowded street, and it will lock on tens, or even hundreds, of moving targets in very short time. Priorities can be assigned to different regions of the covered area so that the most important targets can be picked up and with clear images captured.
Q3
Is IGUANA system suitable for low light environments?
Optional IR module (IR lens and high brightness IR LED) is available to improve the performance of IGUANA in low light environments. It performs well within the covered area.
Q4
What is the lifetime and warranty period of IGUANA system?
Through the rigorous environment test, IGUANA system has 5 years limited warranty on the product.
Q5
Is IGUANA patented?
IGUANA is so advanced; it has claimed at least 6 independent patents so far. Patents were received from Taiwan, USA, Japan, China, EC countries, and many other countries. More patents have been applied in various countries.
Q6
Is the video card of IGUANA compatible with other video cards?
The video cards used in IGUANA system have the functions of
- Capture images and recording
- Image analysis
- GPIO and RS-485 remote control interface
Q7
What are the main components of the IGUANA system?
The main components are as follows:
- Two cameras in one module, one for panoramic view and the other for detailed view of targets. Night vision option is available with an IR light source, IR lenses, and CCDs with IR function.
- One Video card SV1010, 4 Channel MPEG-4, real-time hardware compression which records the images of 4 cameras, and analyze the images at the same time. Also it has remote control to camera modules through RS-485 connections, and connects to other alarm devices by 8-GPIO ports.
Q8
Can IGUANA system sound alarm when lines are interrupted or other alarm is triggered?
With build in GPIO ports, various alarms can be connected. Loss of video signal or other abnormal conditions can be programmed to trigger alarm(s)
Q9
How good is the quality of images captured by IGUANA system?
The image quality of specific targets captured by IGUANA is 20 to 240 times better than those taken by wide-angle camera. The effective surveillance area of IGUANA is 20 times larger than a regular camera can cover. With 30 fps 720x480 recording, 75゚x 20 meter effective surveillance area, one IGUANA camera module is equal to, or better than, 20 regular cameras.
Q10
Can IGUANA be used in heavy traffic, or high speed traffic?
IGUANA is designed to capture multiple moving targets in high speed. With proper installation and set-up, IGUANA can capture cars in multi-land traffic at speed up to 100 km/hour.
Q11
Can IGUANA system support remote access?
Remote access, including watching, recording, and controlling over internet, are all IGUANA available functions.
Q12
What is the difference between IGUANA active surveillance system and Speed Dome?
Basically, both IGUANA and Speed Dome are able to capture the close up image of specific targets. However, they have the following fundamental differences:
IGUANA active surveillance system
- Fully automatic tracking, good for 24/7 operation
- Tracking targets at high speeds and durable to work continuously for years
Speed Dome
- Needs human operation, and automatic tracking is not successful, or practical.
- Cameras need to Zoom in and Zoom out, so tracking speed is slower and life span is short. Not suitable for long time operation.
